Mia's Journey

Hi, everyone! Or should I say konnichiwa. My name is Mia Kawamitsu and I am a junior in high school… but I’m not like most typical high school students, your average Joe. I left my family, friends, school, and my life here in America, to embark on a journey for a year on foreign exchange. Maybe from my intro you can guess where I went, but for those of you who can’t figure it out, I went on exchange to Japan. I want to dedicate this blog to share my experiences and my thoughts throughout exchange. I’ll also include some of my tips for those going on exchange and even a “How to” for those out there who are not quite sure on how one can become an exchange student. I am by no means an expert or professional, but if you want to learn about what foreign exchange is really like, what better way than to get the rundown from someone who experienced it first hand.
